Dr. Lofman’s Education & Training
Dr. Lofman completed his medical training at Ross University School of Medicine. Following that, he completed a full five-year general surgery residency where he graduated as the chief resident at Mercy Catholic Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Lofman then went on to finish a two-year Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship at Providence Hospital in Southfield, MI.
As a West Bloomfield, Michigan native, Dr. Lofman returned to the area after completing his education to open his own practice, Plastic Surgery of Michigan.

General surgery is a difficult residency to get through. Five years of a grueling residency really makes you think about your goals. I knew I had to really push myself to be competitive enough to get one of the few spots available in a plastic surgery fellowship.
